On Saturday, September 10, 2016, doctors from University Hospitals once again will put on their dancing shoes and compete for top honors at this year’s Dancing with the Docs, a benefit supporting the University Hospitals Auxiliary.

Six UH physicians have been practicing and polishing their dancing skills with instructors from Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Chagrin Falls. Their fancy moves will be on display when they take the stage at Marriott Key Center in Cleveland and vie for the coveted first-place glass slipper. Winners will be chosen by a panel of distinguished judges along with votes from supporters.

This year’s contestants include Roy Buchinsky, MD, UH’s Director of Wellness and Robert and Susan Hurwitz Master Clinician in Wellness; Peter Catanzaro, MD, a pediatrician with Suburban Pediatrics in Shaker Heights; Saneka Chakravarty, MD, a cardiologist with UH Heart Group in Ravenna; Christine S. Koniaris, MD, Medical Director, Palliative Care at UH Case Medical Center; Kathryn Miller, MD, Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital; and Goutham Narla, MD, PhD, Assistant Professor, Institute for Transformative Molecular Medicine, Harrington Distinguished Scholar and Pardee-Gerstacker Professor in Cancer Research at UH Case Medical Center/Case Western Reserve University.

In addition, Fred C. Rothstein, MD, former UH Case Medical Center President, will be honored for his many contributions to UH and Northeast Ohio.
